Countryside® has a long tradition of charitable contributions and community development. Countryside® Farms is not a non-profit organization, but engages in numerous acts of charity. Countryside® donates profits, after taxes from the sale of scented merchandise and culinary herbs, spices and seasoning mixes to charitable and educational organizations. Funding is directed to education, health and human service organizations, the Arts and other non-profit community projects. In addition to cultural concerns, funding also flows to environmental protection efforts and animal welfare. Beyond these investments, company employees and retirees contribute their personal time to make communities better places to live and work. At Countryside Farms, we give special consideration to human service agencies that provide services to women in shelters and for the homeless. Countryside Farms is unable to consider every request, however if your organization meets out eligibility criteria and you believe that your program matches one of our areas of interest, we invite you to submit a written request. Applications for funding must include a $300 refundable application fee. Applications received after 15 September may be carried forward to February of the following year. To be eligible to receive funding, an organization must be designated as non-profit, tax-exempt organization as defined under Section 501(C3) and 170(B) of the Internal Revenue Code of the United States. Application for Charitable Donation Inquiries about receiving funding and your program eligibility should be in letter form and signed by your organizations' President, or authorized legal representative, and have the approval of the organization's Board of Directors. Your letter should include a concise description of the specific program for which funds are requested. Include budgets for the program and for the organization, attach the latest financial statement and annual report along with a copy of the organization's recent Federal and State income tax returns. Include a copy of your organization's current ruling letter evidencing tax exemption under Section 501(C3) of the Internal Revenue Code, a mandatory requirement for program eligibility. Countryside Farms considers grants once per year at the Annual Meeting held in December. Requests may be submitted at any time during the year and will be acted upon as expeditiously as possible. Lastly, Countryside Farms does not make individual grants or accept proposals for corporate event sponsorships, sports teams, event advertising or anything else that could be considered corporate promotion of the "Countryside Herb Farms" brand or trade advertising. Faxed and email proposals are not acceptable and all application materials submitted will not be returned. Your $300 application fee is refundable and shall be returned to your organization or before 120 days after your application is received. |
