Winter holiday party season is a good time
to raise a glass to friends and family with a steaming hot mug of fragrant
mulling spices. Our recipes will help you create the perfect hot beverage
for ski parties and other snow-filled winter activities. Some of these
recipes also include the use wine, apple brandy, sherry, rum, vermouth and
vodka. Remember to always drink and enjoy your mulled beverage
infusions responsibly.
Mulling spices are likewise delicious
using non-alcoholic beverages such as apple cider and or cranberry juice.

Countryside® Holiday Hot Mulled Cider Recipe
2 QUARTS OF APPLE CIDER
1 PACKAGE COUNTRYSIDE®
MULLING MIX OR 4 COUNTRYSIDE®
MULLING SACHETS
2 MEDIUM RED APPLES
½ CUP BROWN SUGAR
½ TEASPOON SALT
7 COUNTRYSIDE®
CINNAMON STICKS (2-3/4” LENGTH)
1/4 CUP RAISINS
5 ORANGE SLICES
2 LEMON SLICES OR LIME SLICES
¼ CUP LEMON OR ORANGE JUICE
Remove apple core and slice apple into ½”
thick apple rings.
Combine all ingredients [except orange,
lemon slices or lemon juice] into a one gallon pot. Bring to boil; reduce
heat and Simmer for 20 minutes or just until apples appear tender. Add
remaining ingredients and serve.
Serve in a punch bowl, just dispense
directly into big mugs, garnish with one apple ring, adding some spices
and raisins. Delicious when served with Countryside®
- 6” cinnamon swizzle stick into each mug.

½ QUART OF WATER
1 PACKAGE COUNTRYSIDE®
MULLING MIX OR 4 COUNTRYSIDE®

4 TEASPOONS OF BROWN SUGAR
4 SHOTS OF RUM OR WHISKEY
IMPORTANT: Do not boil, just heat and
serve. Dispense directly into big mugs, garnish with one lemon or
orange slice along with one Countryside®

1 BOTTLE OF BURGUNDY WINE
2 CUPS BRANDY
1 BOTTLE OF PORT WINE
2 CUPS SWEET VERMOUTH
1 CUP ORANGE JUICE
3 CUPS PINEAPPLE JUICE
3 CUPS RAISINS
8 ORANGE SLICES
9 COUNTRYSIDE®
CINNAMON STICKS (2-3/4” LENGTH)
8 WHOLE FIGS
½ CUP CRYSTALLIZED GINGER SLICES OR DICES
8 CRUSHED CARDAMOMS SPICE SEEDS
½ CUP SLIVERED ALMONDS
Combine Countryside®
mulling spices or Countryside® mulling sachets with slivered almonds,
cinnamon sticks, figs, ginger, fruit juices and raisins into large
cooking pot. Completely cover mixture with burgundy wine and bring
mixture to a boil. Allow mixture to cool and steep without
refrigeration for minimum of 2 hours. Steep overnight for greater
potency!
Next add the balance of burgundy to
mixture along with all of the other ingredients. Begin heating but DO NOT
BOIL. Boiling this mixture reduces the natural flavors and the alcohol
possibly dangerously flammable. Just heat and serve. Taste, adding sugar
if necessary.
Dispense in large mugs adding portions of
cooked fruit with each serving. Include a 6” Countryside®
cinnamon swizzle stick in each mug. ENJOY!
